Interactieve fictie film
‘WANEN’ is a short interactive fiction film about the difference in experience of reality.
25-year-old Koen is increasingly concerned about the state of the world, and as a result slowly starts to draw more connections between his studies and his doom-and-gloom thinking.
The (also) 25-year-old Isa has quit her studies and spends a lot of time at home. More and more, she doubts who she is as a person and, linked to this, the life choices she has made so far as an individual. Her doubts slowly begin to spill over to her relationship with Koen, who, however, does not seem to be paying attention to this.
The film revolves around the interaction that allows the viewer to switch between Koen and Isa to experience their completely different experiences.
